CAMBRIDGE, Md. — Pocomoke’s Cedara Franklin continued on her way to a stellar junior season taking 13th place at the second annual Rumble in the Jungle Cross Country Invitational hosted by Cambridge-South Dorchester High School. The first time medalist finished with a time of 22:46 and was third among Maryland 1A schools.
In the girls’ team competition, the Warriors (170) placed seventh overall behind Worcester County rivals Snow Hill (6th–131) and Stephan Decatur (3rd–81).
In the guys’ competition, Pocomoke’s Nick Palmer (19:39.91) fell short of rounding out the top 25 medalist finishing in 26th place behind Cambridge-South Dorchester’s Nathan Dvorak (19:39.70) by the smallest of margin. In the team standings Pocomoke (205) finished eighth overall behind 1A rivals Cambridge-South Dorchester (7th–172) and North Dorchester (6th–167).
