MARDELA SPRINGS, Md. — The Pocomoke High School Cross Country team posed another tough performance battling big school juggernauts at its weekly race. The boys team finished third behind North Dorchester and North Caroline, respectively. The top male finisher with a personal record was junior Nick Palmer (19:37); he was followed by the second Warriors’ finisher Kalyl Laws (20:07).
On the girls’ side, the Warriors’ finished behind in-county rival Snow Hill, North Caroline, and North Dorchester. Claiming top honors for the Warriors’ were junior Cedara Franklin (24:59) and senior Cali Litton (26:10).
Both squads are back in action Wednesday taking part in the Tidewater Classic hosted by Salisbury University. Girls’ race begins at 3:45 and the boys followed boys at 4:45.
